I am a member of AMSA UPM and has been joining numerous humanitarian or health events ever since. My AMSA route started of with a disappointing news as AMSA Malaysia offered me to be the Chief Editor of AMSA Malaysia when I was applying for other positions at that time. However, I decided to take up the challenge and it made realise that I actually enjoy editing articles and designing newsletter layouts. For that, I have the Regional Chairperson of AMSA Malaysia 2018/2019 to thank for. I am still learning the ropes and exploring in the journey as a Chief Editor for this tenure. Trying to improve myself constantly as a leader and as an editor, I welcome and appreciate anyone to contact me to give me feedbacks, advice and suggestions on the newsletter. My close peers would describe me a chipper but my acquaintances would say that I am shy andquiet. I enjoy listening to music, coffee-tasting, reading books and watching movies. I am a person with multiple interests but still learning to manage time efficiently and keep my priorities straight.
Daniell Edward Raharjo
Daniell Edward Raharjo's Bio
When not binging on Netflix shows or Youtube videos, Daniell Edward Raharjo is renowned for his relentless ambition in academia. Back to back competitions have become much like a routine for this budding, doctor-to-be. Simply put, he finds academic competitions the optimal way to hone his skills, broaden his insight, and challenge himself to be better during his career in medical school. Among his many academic endeavors, it was AMSA that had provided an array of opportunities which opened up doors for excellence and growth. Aspiring to give back to AMSA, he decided to take the role as Director of Academics—enabling him to return those opportunities to other members of AMSA across the globe. Peering back in time, his journey in AMSA had officially begun since his second year of medical school in the Universitas Indonesia, during which he took roles helping run AMSEP in his local university, became part of the National Research Team in AMSAIndonesia, and contributed as one of the members of the eNewsletter Editorial Board— his first glance of AMSA International. Now in his third year, he’s ready to take greater responsibility as one of the Executive Committees of AMSA International. Furthermore, wedged between his tight schedule between organizations and competitions, he takes pleasure in what everybody else does: watching movies and TV shows, chilling to mellow music, and lounging around on the bed before inadvertently falling asleep. Among his hobbies, he takes special interest in drawing (which you would find him doing any time during a mundane lecture), graphic design, as well as skating— whether on ice or wheels.
